The lack of focus and aid for our struggling city and town budgets, dilapidated roads, unreliable train service and ever increasing traffic must be addressed. As State Senator I will take a pragmatic approach, working with people all across the district to be their voice on Beacon Hill. During my more than 12 years in Franklin Town Government, my door has always been open and I will make the same commitment as your Senator.
Proud father, entrepreneur, and patriot, Matt Kelly is running for State Senate to represent the constituents of Massachusetts' Norfolk, Bristol, and Middlesex District.
Matt moved to Franklin in 1993 with his parents and brother. Here he attended Franklin High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Lesley. The couple never thought twice about where to raise their children. Lesley's family has lived in Franklin for three generations, and Matt is a Franklin business owner and Real Estate Broker. Matt and Lesley currently reside in the town of Franklin with their two daughters.
Matt has BEEN A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER FOR 20 YEARS, and Has served as a chair, vice-chair and member of the Franklin Town Council since 2009.
He is honored to live in and give back to the community that offers so much to its citizens. Matt served as a Franklin School Committee member for two years. As an active member, he faithfully advocated for all Franklin Public Schools and played an integral part in erecting the town's new high school.
Today, the Franklin School District ranks 32nd out of 238 for best school districts in Mass and has risen to 12th for the safest school districts in the Commonwealth.
Matt's ongoing collaboration with town officials from the surrounding area has enabled him to overcome challenges by creating the best possible solutions, reinforced by his excellent working relationships and willingness to stand up for what is right. Matt Kelly is ready and excited to start serving the people of the Norfolk, Bristol, and Middlesex senate district on day one.
The most important part of a campaign are those who support it. Help Matt become our next State Senator by: spreading the word to family and friends, hosting a coffee hour or fundraising event with Matt, making phone calls, knocking on doors, or posting a sign in your yard. It is with your support that we will be successful!
